VISIT THE ISLAND …

In Agistri it is worth visiting the various archaeological findings and others, which exist in the Cultural centre of Megalochori, the Churches and the picturesque chapels that are scattered on the green slopes.

You must also visit the Church of Zoodochos Pigi, where you will see the remarkable Renaissance frescoes, crafted by Andrianos Stamatiadis and Kantoudi, the old village of Agistri, i.e. what remains of the oldest settlement of Agistri.

In the Polemi area is the Church of Agia Varvara where Agios Nektarios of Aegini was consecrated. There were the old threshing-floors of the island and 200 spring water collection wells, some of which you can see around the Church.
