After Polemi the road descends and reaches Limenaria, a traditional picturesque village in the southeast of the island, the third settlement of Agistri, in the southern part of the island which is 4.5 km from Megalochori and has about 105 inhabitants. Limenaria are distinguished for their folk tradition and their cultural character.

Pine trees, large cypress trees, olive trees, vegetable gardens, stone-built houses, the old school, the large Church of Agia Kyriaki and the picturesque port of Mareza, are just a sample of the beauty and magic that this location has to offer.

In the Polemi area, before Limenaria, is the old Church of Agia Varvara where Agios Nektarios of Aegini was consecrated. Here were the old threshing floors of the island and the spring water collection wells, some of which can be seen around the Church.

From Limenaria, to the east, another road leads after about 500 meters to the beautiful rocky and secluded beach of Mareza, with deep blue crystal clear waters, a spot preferred by many to moor their boats.

We return to Limenaria and head west towards Aponissos. On our route, about a thousand meters to our right, we follow the road towards the beautiful area of the Lake and we meet the ancient Church of Agios Nikolaos. There are two old graves inside the cemetery, which are said to belong to pirates, while opposite the Church there is a characteristic old stone well.
